Township of Algonquin Highlands Trails Department
The Township of Algonquin Highlands hosts 10 of Haliburton Highlands premiere hiking trails, totally 38 km of easy to challenging terrain.  Site seeing of the vast forests and lakes of the area can be seen on any of the trails.  Many of the trails are open for back country skiing and snowshoeing.  The area also hosts trail events such as the Hike Haliburton Festival www.haliburtonholidays.ca.

The Waterfront Trail has been an instrumental part of Lake Ontario’s regeneration.
