The Voice for Hikers and Walkers in Ontario Hike Ontario, a volunteer not-for-profit organization, provides the voice for hikers and walkers in Ontario and is the umbrella group for the long-distance trail associations. Our membership is made up of 22 Trail Associations and Hiking Clubs, as well as individual and affiliate members. We act as a liaison amongst pedestrian trail users, governments and other organizations, to increase public awareness of hiking and its related benefits. Hike Ontario is directed by a Board of Directors, in which each of our member clubs has a representative. Funding comes from memberships, donations, fund-raising projects, and government and corporate grants.Our Mandate To promote recreational walking, hiking and trail development in Ontario.
